Following the success of the first WePlay training session, which brought together more than 40 participants from different European countries, we are ready for the next step.
On 8 October 2026 at 17:00 CET, WePlay will hold its second online training session, designed to help teachers move from learning how to use the platform to understanding how gamification can be applied effectively in real classroom environments.
Estimated duration: 2 hours
A special session with educational experts
This second session will combine a pedagogical and practical perspective, with the participation of two educational experts.
Gamification as an educational tool
Elena Tuparevska, expert in gamification and teacher/researcher with the University of Deusto’s eDucar research group, will introduce the findings of the Applying Gamification in Classroom Settings report from a practical educational perspective.
The session will explore the principles behind gamification and how they can support engagement, participation and learning in classroom settings.
From theory to classroom practice
Vittoria Volterrani, from the Istituto Omnicomprensivo di Bobbio in Italy and an expert in teaching methodologies, educational technology and social-emotional learning, will focus on how the two WePlay pilot games can be implemented in the classroom.
Teachers will be able to see how the educational concepts behind WePlay translate into actual gamified activities with students.
Questions, answers and practical support
The session will also include a dedicated Questions & Answers section where participants can clarify any doubts regarding:
- the use of the WePlay platform;
- game participation and classroom management;
- gamification methodologies;
- the educational approach behind the pilot games.
To help us prepare the session, participants are invited to send questions in advance.

New WePlay Help & FAQ section
Based on the questions and feedback received from teachers and users during the first stage of the project, WePlay has also launched a new Help & FAQ section.
This resource brings together answers to frequently asked questions about the platform and will continue to be updated as new questions arise during the training and pilot phases.
Preparing for the WePlay pilot tests
The session will also include an overview of the WePlay pilot phase, which begins on 15 October 2026.
Participating European schools will take part in two gamified actions focused on:
- 2030 Agenda
- Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
This will mark an important new stage for WePlay, moving from training and preparation into real classroom experiences involving teachers and students from different European countries.
Registration is required
To take part in the second WePlay training session, participants must register in advance.
