An open and accessible tool that enables teachers and students to create and share collaborative educational gamified experiences, combining virtual activities with real-world exploration.
Weplay is a European gamification platform designed to help teachers and students create, play and share gamified learning activities on any subject or level, fostering collaborative learning among schools from different countries.
It combines virtual challenges with local real-world activities, offering innovative and inclusive learning experiences—especially for rural schools with limited resources.
Weplay is an open, free and accessible platform for all educational communities, released under free software licenses.
Weplay responds to the needs of schools located in geographically isolated rural areas. Yet its open design allows any school, youth organisation or educator in Europe to participate and create their own games.
It is especially suitable for rural schools seeking to introduce innovative, gamified learning experiences.
Weplay integrates inclusive strategies from the start:
Designed with accessibility guidelines
Adaptable activities for diverse learning needs
Inclusive digital pedagogy
Teacher training to bring gamified learning to rural schools.
Tools for co-creation between diverse classrooms
Weplay offers:
Create step-by-step gamification-based activities with no technical skills required.
Challenges that combine digital interactions with tasks in each school’s local environment.
Classes from different countries can play in gamified activities together.
As part of the project, two complete gamification experiences will be co-designed and developed with partner schools.
These ready-to-use learning journeys will be implemented during the pilot phase to test the platform in real educational settings across Europe.
WePlay works seamlessly on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, allowing students and teachers to access activities, challenges, and gamified learning from anywhere.
The platform automatically adapts to any screen size to ensure a smooth, fast, and intuitive experience.
Weplay is delivered by a strategic European partnership combining expertise in technology, educational research, rural development and school networks:
